The J. Ardis Bell Library on the Northeast Campus provides a collection of books, periodicals, and electronic resources that primarily support the courses taught on our campus.
Faculty services
- Reserve materials. Call (817) 515-6627 to put materials on reserve for your students to check out on a limited basis.
- Our library instruction and research classes will teach your students techniques for more efficient searching both on the Library Databases and on the World Wide Web.
- Our Library staff will help your students find and use the library materials.
- Our District Library website provides access to hundreds of online resources.
- Get a TexShare card for access to resources at other college and public libraries.
- Wi-Fi Internet access is provided for TCC students and staff.
- Quick reference guides to MLA (PDF opens in new window) and APA (PDF opens in new window) citation formats.
- Research Guides and online tutorials to help your students get started with research.
Facility
In addition to the above services the J. Ardis Bell Library on the Northeast campus is a 37,580 square foot facility that offers the following:
- Computers are available upstairs near the Reference Desk. These units are VDI (Virtual Display Interphase) machines that are restricted in what can be accessed and are of limited ability compared to the PCs. They do offer access to the web and the full Microsoft Office Suite. These units require a login.
- There are two express print stations for student printing use. Both of these units are available near the Reference Desk.
- There are six library catalog stations throughout the library. These stations are permanently set to the library's online catalog to search for books within the collection.
- Five Group Study Rooms on a first come, first serve basis
- The Computer Learning Center with Windows PCs, Apple Computers and color scanners.
- The Heritage Room includes Special Collections and seating for 36. The Heritage Room may be reserved for special presentations.
- Quiet Study Space
- The Library Classroom for Library Instruction and special presentations
