3D Printing at J. Ardis Bell Library on TCC Northeast Campus

The J. Ardis Bell Library now offers 3D printing. Two printers are located in the library's Computer Learning Center. These printers are available for students, faculty and staff use. Several versions of various CAD software are also available for design work. CLC staff is available to help guide users through the process.

Here are some of the basic user guidelines:
  1. Please check in with the CLC staff when using the 3D printers.
  2. The CLC is a learning laboratory and therefore does not offer drop-off production services.
  3. You must be a currently enrolled student and be able to present a valid student ID.
  4. You must "check out" a machine prior to use. Do not use any machine until you have been trained and are knowledgeable on its proper use.
  5. Please follow all instructions and directions given by staff. Failure to do so may result in dismissal from the CLC and revocation of 3D printing privileges.
  6. Failure to operate the equipment safely and as directed by staff will result in (1) loss of access to the equipment and (2) fines covering any damage to the equipment.
  7. Damages caused by improper use of the equipment will be charged to the user.
  8. Beverages and food are not permitted by the 3D printers.
  9. 3D prints are to be started no later than one hour prior to closing.
  10. Currently there are no print charges.
  11. All items must be picked up within 24 hours.
