Another new semester is beginning and your NE Library has resources and tools to help you make the most of it. This display features test-taking strategies and study tips, as well as stress management, orgnaization, and writing college essays, etc...

This collection of Science Fiction and Fantasy titles will let your imagination "boldly go where no man has gone before."

The iconic minister and community leader who helped shape the Civil Rights movement of the 1960's was assassinated 50 years ago in 1968. This display features some of King's own work, as well as writings about his life, leadership, and legacy.

Children's books on being a good friend

This exhibit features a broad variety of games for every brand of "gamer." Accompanied by a selection of materials on the rules, history, and ever-expanding world of gaming.

This display on "the State of Gastrodiplomacy" in Texas history is being generously loaned to us from the Southeast Campus Library, where it was developed in support of TCC's Culinary Arts program. Accompanied by books on Texas cookery.

This short-term book display celebrates the 115th birthday of Theodor Geisel, better known to children of the world as "Dr. Seuss." The well-loved author of The Cat In the Hat and Green Eggs & Ham was born March 2, 1904.

It is said that 'well-behaved women seldom make history.'  In celebration of Women’s History Month, this library display features a collection of autobiographies from contemporary women, known for being outspoken and shaping the world around them.  This display was designed by Alex Benitez from the LCLC.

Throughout the month of March, in honor of Dr. Seuss’s 115th birthday, we are featuring books that have been honored by the “Theodor Seuss Geisel Award for Children’s Literature.”

accompanying the display of the same name, this rotator showcases many of the female authors whose autobiographies are featured on the display.

In celebration of Women’s History Month 2019, this digital slideshow features many notable women and their accomplishments, from throughout the last two and a half centuries.

Come and enjoy this special photography exhibit from Tarrant County College NW Campus Spanish Professor, Alejandro Garza, who photo-documented his trip to every Spanish-speaking nation in the world. Accompanied by a small assortment of books on the artist’s medium and themes.

In celebration of the "purest form of expression," stop by and check out our display on National Poetry Month! You'll find old favorites alongside gifted new poets you've never heard of. Accompanied by a digital slideshow that features well-known poems and well-loved poets. This display was designed by Ms. Christie LeMaster from the LCLC Team.

This display features a large assortment of library materials from celebrated writers, authors, scholars, and poets all over the world. The NE Library is proud to support the annual International Festival and all of the related activities taking place around the campus this month

This Finals season, we are featuring resources on study tips, test-taking strategies, and ways to reduce students' stress levels. Students can also stop by the NE Library all week for free coffee & snacks, free scantron forms, cartoons, and fun! Good luck on exams!

May is a busy month, full of holidays, observances, and celebrations; some world-famous, and some you've never heard of. Check out this display to see more about what's happening every day this month. This exhibit was designed by Elizabeth Warren, a NE Campus staff member, and practicum student in the Library Technology degree program at TCC's Trinity River campus.

Former NE Campus photography student Brian Husch (2000) captured hundreds of images on his early-model iPhone camera, using a variety of focuses and filters. Check out some of his work on digital display screens on the upper level of the NE Library.

The first week of May marks the centennial observance of Children's Book Week. CBW is the longest-running literacy initiative in America's history, now in it's 100th year. We'll be celebrating with a display of materials from our juvenile collection throughout the entire month.

This display will feature library titles that address veterans' issues, past and present, and will offer a look at photos and memorabilia from soldiers who served our country at war.

Scarborough Renaissance Festival in Waxahachie, Texas is celebrating their 38th season this spring. Come see examples of weaponry, masks, garb, and much more from Faire artisans on display.

Guest Artist Janlynn Rogers is a recent graduate from the UNT Arts program, with a double-major in Ceramics and Painting/Drawing. Her work "explores the biophilia hypothesis - the human connection to the natural world, and study of the collective unconscious." Come enjoy this diverse exhibit of painting, ceramics, and mixed-media artwork, curated by Ashley Roberts of the LCLC Team; accompanied by a selection of titles on the artist's media and studio tools.

June is nationally recognized as PRIDE Month, and we are celebrating the diversity of our campus with a non-fiction book display focused on the LGBTQ+ community, as well as an assortment of fiction titles by gay authors, or featuring gay characters. This display is co-sponsored by the NE Campus SPECTRUM Club.

June is Audiobook month. Check out some of our new additions on CD and read with your ears!

The NE Library is helping to spread the word about Adopt-A-Cat Month with a purrrfect display of all our favorite Cat books! There are kids' books, mysteries, and non-fiction titles littered all over this exhibit. No kitten! Paws whatever you're doing and come check them out. Right meow! Missing out would be a catastrophe!

President Lincoln issued his Emancipation Proclamation on September 22, 1862, but it took close to three years before the word finally spread to Galveston, Texas, and the last slaves were granted legal free status on June 19, 1865. Since that day, “Juneteenth” has been celebrated as “African-American Independence Day,” first in Texas, and in recent years, across the country. Check out our display in celebration of this cultural holiday, and join TCC-NE for our annual Juneteenth Celebration event later this month.

“It was the best of times; It was the worst of times.” “Call me Ishmael.” “It was a pleasure to burn.” Some works have opening lines that just stick with the reader… They wind up being quoted (and mis-quoted) throughout our collective culture. Come check out this selection of classic and well-loved fiction stories that have world-famous first lines. This display is accompanied by a digital slideshow on the lower level of the Library, and has been assembled by Brooke Thompson of the LCLC Team.
